I love Brecknock Hall.

I love Saris.

I love this couple.

….I love… dancing?

My love for tattoos naturally translate for my love of Henna.

Love the beer idea.

I’m a big sucker for mason jars.

Love the henna on the right arm.

One of my favorite couples this year.

I’m okay with Saris replacing bridemaid dresses.

Juxtaposition.

Love how giddy you two are.

“Heyyyyy, sexy laadddday.” Song of the day?

Our secret little location.

I did not deserver that face.

This one…I do.

I believe she wanted to pick them up and toss them all over again…

Why yes. They came into the reception with banana suits.

I believe Brendan also loves to dance.

Yes. It is the horse riding dance.

“Uh…sir…get off the dance off…”

Cause the groom needs to get his boogie on.

I got caught up in the moment.

That’s all folks.

I’m sure the world has heard & seen the disaster left from Superstorm Sandy. The leveled neighborhoods, the destroyed coastline, the symbolic Seaside Heights roller coaster in the ocean, the list goes on. But then a truly beautiful thing happy…a portion of the busiest city in the world went completely offline. No internet. No cell phones. No Cars. NOTHING. It had a eerie correlation to the Will Smith “I Am Legend” flick.

And for all it’s eeriness(Anyone that was downtown can attest to this), it was also beautiful. I’ve been in this city all my life and never have I seen the amount of stars that I saw that ONE night. The moon was at it’s full and the streets that are usually full of loud drunks @2AM was completely silent.

The images below were shot in complete darkness, lit only with the moon & stars in the sky.

From the covers of the latest NY Magazine. An overview of the blackout area.

I guess Brooklyn powers 3/4 of the bridge...

Completely dark FiDi, except for the powered lights from the generators. Same generators used to pump the water out...

Usually one of the liveliest parts of town...pitch black. Well, except for that taxi coming down the street...

The most beautiful street in all of NYC. Pitch Black.

Only with the lights completely off, can one see the glory of our skies.

One of my favorite buildings in the city.

From spending a couple of hours together during an engagement session, one can pick up a few things.

Here was my notes for Sara & David after theirs, AND I QUOTE:

“Sara has an amazing smile & laugh. Loves vintage cars. Especially a 67′ Mustang. Really excited for her Louboutins.

David has a quirky sense of style and a funny dry humor. I wonder if he will be wearing flip flops down the aisle…

Really cute couple.

…It’s going to be an amazing wedding”

-That note, is of course, after we spent hours past our bedtime on a work night, chit chatting over drinks & food.

Dress: Amsale

Tuxedo: Armani

Shoes: Christian Louboutin

Band: Bobby Attiko of Hank Lane

Flowers: Ariston Florist

Caterer/Cake: Prestige

Hair/Make-up: Bloom Beauty Lounge

How cute is she?

One of my top 5 favorite venues.

Love the "Don't Panic" ESPECIALLY considering what happened during the Ketubah signing...

If David had the option, I think he would've wore the pair on the right, all night.

Love the cuffs.

Self tied. Impressive.

First sight.

David's expression is priceless.

Amazing bridal party.

Sara got hungry.

This is how we do family photos.

Ceremony.

Fact: The hora was invented so that photographers can get expression like this outta the bride & groom.

This HAS to be THE BEST, speech-song & dance I've EVER heard. SERIOUSLY.

There he goes. Mike had to go and do the worm.

David caught trying to photo bomb.

Airing things out.

Good attempt Patrick Swayze but no dice.

Dad's getting in on the fun. Must've been Bon Jovi.

And...this is why I love the Hank Lane bands...

Apple bottom jeans, boots with the fur...GRANDMA WAS GETTING LOW LOW LOW LOW!

Amazing party ya'll.

Just a few teasers before I release the complete album. =)

Love me a bride with ink.

Fact: Dress designers make it difficult to get it, to buy us photographers some extra time...

Love me my Diddy moments.

Can you cheese any hard Lauren? LOVE IT! =D

These little ones really knew how to "Ham" it.

Total Hammers. =)

Still hamming.

We "Shuffle. He "Boogies"

Shuffling

Roof raising.

I call this "Belly Snapping"

Yes, I'll call you. Maybe.

Windmilling?!

Sept 3rd (Day after a long wedding and a wild night out) 2:00PM – Leave for airport.

Sept 3rd 2:20PM – Turn around on BQE, forgot my passport.

JFK to CDG – 7 Hours & 16 minutes (Couldn’t sleep for a minute)

Sept 4th (In Paris) 7:00AM – Waiting for 10AM train…forgot charging adapter and nothing to read…BORED OUTTA MY MIND!

Sept 4th (Arriving in Aix) 1:30PM – Panicking  because I can’t find Steph and no phone.

Sept 4th, Approximately 7:00PM – Finally getting to the Chateau and seeing everyone for the first time. Followed by a quick rehearsal and a nice dinner in.

Side question: What makes a chateau…a chateau?

Sept 5th – The BIG day, as you can see below.

Sept 6th 7:30AM, Wake up with cotton mouth, a headache and a severely bruised hip *Ahem…Stephanie! to go to the train station.

Sept 6th 5:00PM, @ CDG airport…BORED OUTTA MY MIND AGAIN!

CDG to JFK 8 Hours of 40 minutes. (Why does it always take longer to go home?)

Sept 6th 8:00PM – Touchdown JFK.

Sept 6th 10:00PM – Prepping for a 3 wedding weekend.

In conclusion:

16 Hours of flight.

7 Hours of Train.

11 Hours of waiting in train stations & airports.

To spend a day and a half in Aix…AND I WOULD DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN IN A HEART  BEAT!

The grapes were DELICIOUS!

Nana wasn't fond of cars...

Start em' young.

Tara's in running for the cutest flower girl...ever. She was collecting rocks with her flower basket!

Steph's taking little kid's money...no bueno.

Future photographers?

As the girls worked...

The boys played...

And played they did!

Wasn't sure what David was doing here...

Here she comes!

Love that David was still teary...I can't imagine his reaction if he hadn't seen her yet.

Tara collecting back her flowers.

Practically bathing in lavender.

I think he was trying to get even with the crowd...

But trajectory was a bit off...

"Salut"

Her grandma's so cute!

...not so innocent with the pole dancing.

The boys showing some skin. It's traditional to go commando...I learned it the hard way...

Not sure what's going on here...

Trevor obviously didn't like Steph's method of picking up as much.

Like mother...

Like son?

"I've had...the time of my life"

The sequence of events that led to my severely bruised ass.
