What Darwin didn’t know was, as special as the wildlife is on the Galapagos, it is 100x more incredible below. The convergence of the cold Humboldt currents, the warm Panama currents & the deep sea Cromwell currents brings together an incredible array of marine life.

Trip started with a Ecuadorian road trip…Lucked out in finding Santa Marianita, an amazing coast town with GREAT kite surfing!

Chilly waters but isn’t crowded like the Philippines or Hawaii. And if you’re lucky, there’s an occasional whale that’ll swim by.

I prefer this over surfing…

The landscape of Quito.

Strange things happens on full moons…

The fog between the valleys in Quito.

Cangrejo! Blue crab is much better…

An ancient calendar.

You know it’s not the REAL Equator line, when one has no problems walking on it.

The huge monument that supposedly sits on the equator line. They missed it by about 200 yards.

THE reason why you shouldn’t pee in the amazon…

A real shrunken head…about the size of a miniature Poland Spring bottle…

An ancient clock.

I don’t know how to explain this…another weird phenomenon that happens on the equator line is that you lose a lot of strength…

The bay of San Cristobal, Galapagos. Half the boats are occupied by sleeping sea lions.

The Galapagos in plentiful in weird star fish.

And green sea turtles. It’s a bad dive if you don’t spot at least 3.

Got SUPER excited when we saw our first school of eagle rays.

Endangered fur seals!

This sums up how difficult underwater photography is…I got lucky on this shot.

Look how BIG their eyes are! Incredible!

STOKED to find my first Galapagos shark!

An injured hammerhead, swimming sideways. Nature can be cruel…didn’t think he had much left in the tank.

When I was still excited to see eagle rays. By the 3rd day, you just wanted them to get out of your way.

Most hammerheads are pretty shy…NOT this guy.

Getting too close for my comfort.

The silhouette of a hammer still amazes me.

Beautiful creatures…but they started getting in the way of things. This is the point where we were just getting spoiled.

Another curious shark. And no, sharks are not scary. His close cousin, the great white…different story.

My favorite image from the trip.

Yes…eagle rays again. They have very comical faces.

Cute little blue puffer.

Nature’s submarine going right under us.

Javier, my wing man for chasing tail.

A shot of the pregger whale shark. I went into video mode after this shot. Figured it’s a bit more epic with me chasing her the whole time…Video is on Facebook…

Orcas! I really wished we could’ve encountered them in the ocean, but they were hunting…so…not the brightest idea…

A massive school of hammerheads. This stream of them went on for a while…

A school of jacks that can rival the sardine run in South Africa.

Darwin’s Arch. BEST BEST single dive site in the world.

Darwin island…a very magical place for divers.

I’m all about swimming with dolphins…in the wild.

Due to the lack of human contact, the dolphins here aren’t quite as friendly. They keep their distance.

MOLA MOLA!!!! Biggest non-shark fish in the oceans. Record was 5,000+ lbs.

Bullhead shark.

I can’t get sick of turtles. They’re too cute.

MANTAS!!! Super shy…didn’t get within 10 yards of them…

Shark super highway.

Small fish are safe with these guys. Tuna…not so much.

Migrating somewhere…

Byron finally has a boy! Camillo!

Aren’t dream catchers an North American thing?

The dive team with our naturalist.

Turtle turtle!

The crabs are getting it on…

I was hoping she didn’t notice that I wasn’t a sea lion…

Disturbing the peace.

Very cute.

Now that I’m over the Brody & Vaughn…not really but life has to go on…sad face. sad face.

I can’t help but sing the brady bunch theme song when I was putting up the images…

“Here’s the story of a lovely lady
Who was bringing up three very lovely girls.
All of them had hair of gold, like their mother,
The youngest one in curls.”

If Princess Peach had a place, it would look like this.

Love little accents like these.

She sells sea shells by the seashore.

A must for every good start to a wedding, good champagne.

I love me my shoes.

Love shoes that adds a splash of color.

"I now pronounce you..."

¿Dónde está su luna de miel?

Why sisters are always a good option as a bridesmaid. They'll REALLY scout things out for you.

Jack, tuning in his inner Jay-Z...More on that later.

The shower in that bathroom is bigger than my apartment...Sad...but true.

Dani pondering how to best pull off her Beyonce act later.

Can't have a Jersey wedding without massive amount of hair stray. =)

Very royal kinda feel to this...

Elyse's gorgeous flowers.

Off she goes to see Josh.

Love how all the girls on top are crying and the men on the bottom are busy taking pictures. Boys, leave it up to us to take the pictures, and you go for the crying.

Little bit of an Abbey Road thing going on...

The Bridal Party. See my favorite little fellas? Couldn't leave them out entirely on this post.

Very Serene.

The amazingly decked out Hoopa by Spitz & Peck

Love colorful Yamakas.

Papa Amedeo looking at the arriving guests.

Mason jars are always a great addition to an outdoor ceremony.

Here they come!

The Amedeo's on their way down...

The most nerve wrecking part to most brides.

A Perfect sunset.

Mallard's Ballroom

Great looking cake.

Love the sugar ribbons!

LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! The Hora!

Wish they did Hora's for ALL weddings.

Only thing better than the dancing are the facial expressions.

Haha! 25% Excitement. 75% Fright.

Love the next sequence. Dani: "Get Mrs. Greenbaum!"

"Joshua! Are you not going to help me?!" Josh: "Sorry mom, no dice"

Uncle Ron: "Hold on for dear life"

Mrs. Greenbaum: "Dear God..."

"WWWWWWWWWWWHOA"

But of course, she enjoys the ride.

Even the Rabbi got in on the action!

Haha! Love it!

The food was THAT good.

The good o' parent dances.

This is why I like to stay till the end of receptions.

No surprise on Dani's awesome performance...

But...JACK?! YOU GO BOY!

Can you tell that they're loving the performance?

So long folks.

I don’t normally blog about ring bearers, but when I do, THEY MOST CERTAINLY are the cutest in the world!

Our most eligible bachelor in 18 years, Brody

Ladies, meet Vaughn, he'll melt your heart like a chocolate fondue set.

The boys with Poppa.

Can someone put these guys on a J CREW catalog already?!

The Gap maybe?

My fave of these two.

Warning: these two will steal the show!

I even "awww"ed at his untied sneakers during the ceremony!

Christina leaves me a voicemail @ 1 AM the night before her wedding, stating that she was having a bridezilla moment & needed to chat…

Dan calls me the morning of, and tells me he’s hung over…

The weather channel then mentions that there’s a chance of rain…and we’ve only planned for outdoor photos.

Needless to say, I was wondering what I had gotten myself into…

And then I saw the shoes…oh those shoes.

Then the AMAZING dress.

And the 5 bottles of champagne drank by the girls in the morning. …yes…5. Then they tell me that they cleared a few out of the way before I even arrived. – Game on!

Dress: Oscar De La Renta

Shoes: Christian Louboutin

Church: Trinity Church – http://www.trinitywallstreet.org/

Venue: Tribeca Rooftop – http://www.apogeeevents.com/

Bridesmaid dresses: David Meister

Groom tux: Vera Wang

Florist: Flowerful Events – http://flowerfulevents.com

Band: Michael Hart Band, Hank Lane – http://www.hanklane.com/

The shoes. Peonies Louboutins.

How awesome are these guys? I'm a boy that likes my shoes.

Logan was getting a bit frisky with Christina. Love those two together.

The quintessential, caught off guard, going to the bathroom - "OMG, I'm hot " look.

Only place with more tourist in a church while ceremony takes place is St. Patrick's. I like the splash of color.

Amazing priest. Though he looked to be a bit more nervous than Christina...

Full house + more. On a Friday. That's when you know people love you.

The bustle usually lends to a great shot.

But guys want nothing to do with that.

Wedding formula A: Veil + Wind = drama.

Fast paced kinda street...

=)

Had to stop by the liquor store. We seriously did.

Um...I did not plan for this.

Christina was a true trooper.

Dan looks like he wanted no part of that...

Yes, a snake & a bright red tandem bike. Only in NYC.

We did irritate the snake a bit but nothing Peta wouldn't approve of. =)

Scott replace Christina... her dress wouldn't allow for the bike. =(

Putting the "party" in bridal party.

I begged her to leave her veil on.

Maybe it's just me, she looks like Katie Holmes...no?

My favorite shot of her.

She certainly knew how to work the camera.

The girls knew how to work the firemen. Thanks again guys!

My favorite backdrop. A bright red fire truck.

My kinda bridal party picture.

Dan's favorite movie is Ghostbusters, so we had this as a surprise for him.

This too...WORK IT GIRL! Oh...Hi Dan. =)

Amazing details on those custom linens.

Tribeca rooftop has the best environment for cocktail hour.

That...is a BIG family.

Still one of my favorite venues in the city.

The reception is by far, my favorite part of ANY wedding.

Lots of drinking & dancing. Maybe a bit of spooning.

One of the best band performances to date: Michael Hart Band - Hank Lane.

I know I express often the love for drinking & dancing during reception but the parent dances is another reason why I love the reception.

Because it lends to many moments like this.

=)

I personally get pretty choked up and often have to remind myself that I'm "working".

Why yes, I love you too Christina.

Yummers.

Grandma getting in on the action.

Didn't catch the fella's name from Michael Hart but very animated. Love it!

If only they allow for cigars indoors...

Logan dropping it like it's hot.

Getting lost in moment together, on one of the great days in your lives.

Classic reception moment. =)

"Why, what big eyes you have"

The boys.

That's all folks.

The last time I was in Thailand, in 2010, the country was going through a quasi civil war.

Thailand was in turmoil with the city of Bangkok practically in hiatus, a country wide curfew & little to no tourism for a solid 2 months.

Turn the page 2 years, and it’s like April, 2010 never even happened. The immigration line more crowded than the 4 Train during rush hour.

A much more peaceful & harmonious country than my previous experience. With the exception of Khaosan Road in Bangkok & Haad Rin in Koh Phangan, which still acts as a war zone between alcohol and the human liver.

A replica of Angkor Wat in the Grand Palace in Bangkok. 2nd attempt to make it to Cambodia. Fail.

I feel like the older monks are much more expressive than the younger lads.

That's a man with swag - Floating Market.

There's street food and then there's river food. Literally.

Karra & I were loving the "River" food.

Thai Tacos. The Thai's knows how to present their food well.

Things I do on my free time...

Don't try this at home...or anywhere else for that matter.

Love Tiger Temple.

That's the patented guilty Chubby face

Haha. The fella isn't fighting fair.

Playtime mixed with aerial assaults.

Note to self, if ever in a jungle with Tigers...they are great climbers. Tiger temple is here to assure that there still will be Tigers in Jungles for our children.

The beautiful Karra with me on this trip. Reunited from Vietnam 2009(10).

This is what happens when one mistaken the brake for the throttle and conveniently there is a solid concrete pole around to ride up on.

And I was just being an idiot.

Barracuda hunting. Quite a sight to witness.

A species of angel fish...I think. =/

Can you spot the cute fella?

Reminds of me Nemo's home.

Koh Tao had far too many people in the water at the same time. Otherwise, an amazing dive site.

The best place to stay in Koh Phangan.

Nom, the nicest guy on the island of Koh Phangan, sleeping on the deck of Munchies. He kinda runs the joint. No pun intended...

Nom's pup. Dogs in Thailand are extremely territorial. Some fights can get pretty ugly...

He waits for low tide when the smaller fish gets trapped in pools via the sand bars...

You could practically walk half the way to Koh Samui from here because the shore is so shallow for so long.

A morning's hard work.

The morning of a Moonset (Wish I had my camera with me!) & a Rainbow.

From my Trapeze lessons. =)
